|| 講者（Speaker）:
Henry 現任英國帝國理工學院（Imperial College London）土木與環境工程系副教授，專注於量子環境微生物學與技術領域。他致力於結合基因體學（genomics）與組學技術（omics），並運用量子運算（Quantum Computing）模擬來解決當代環境與健康相關的複雜問題。學術歷程橫跨台灣、美國、南韓、香港與英國，具有多元而獨特的國際背景。他教育背景自技職體系起步，先後就讀弘光科技大學與宜蘭技術學院，隨後取得交通大學碩士，並於美國愛荷華州立大學完成工程博士學位。他曾任教於南韓仁荷大學與香港理工大學，自2019年起加入帝國理工學院。多年來擔任教職和學生甄選委員會成員，積極參與教研人員的招聘與選才工作，其獨特的學術歷程與觀點，可帶來不一樣思考角度供您參考。
The primary goal of Dr. Kao’s research is to better understand the influence of health behavior and its associated biobehavioral correlates on human cognition and brain health. He is particularly interested in the acute and chronic effects of physical activity on behavioral and neuroelectric outcomes related to cognitive function during childhood and early adulthood. His research focuses include (1) the associations of different aspects of physical fitness (e.g., cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular fitness) and motor competence with higher-order cognition such as executive function and memory, (2) the role of exercise parameters (e.g., mode, intensity, timing) on the relationship between exercise and cognitive function, (3) the development of multi-modal interventions combining physical activity and mindfulness that can be implemented and integrated into real-world settings (e.g. school, workplace) for facilitating attention, learning, work productivity, and brain health.
林偉楷加入 University of Virginia 之前，在 Cornell University 拿到博士學位，並曾在 Carnegie Mellon University 和 Northeastern University 擔任博士後研究員。他的研究興趣主要是理論密碼學以及相關的演算法。這個研究領域叫做理論，是因為在 Computer Science 但是不寫程式也不用電腦做實驗。
